School Admissions Policy 2028-2029 Consultation
Dear Parents, Carers and Colleagues,
Moordown St John’s CE Primary School is consulting on its proposed admission arrangements for the 2028–2029 academic year.
As an academy, the school is required to consult on its admission arrangements at least once every seven years, even where no significant changes are proposed.
The proposed arrangements largely retain our existing admissions criteria, with the addition of a priority for children of eligible school staff.
We are not proposing to reduce our Published Admission Number (PAN), which will remain at 60 pupils per year group. Our existing priority for siblings will also be retained.
The consultation provides an opportunity for parents, carers, neighbouring schools and other interested parties to review the proposed arrangements and share their views before they are formally determined by the school's Board of Directors.
Please find attached the proposed Admissions Policy for 2028–2029, together with a consultation document explaining the proposed arrangements.
The consultation is being conducted by BCP Council and will run for 6 weeks through November and December 2026. Further information on the policy, together with information on how to submit comments or representations, can be found on the BCP Council consultation webpage:
We would encourage all interested parties to review the consultation information and share their views directly with BCP Council or ourselves during the consultation period.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this proposal and participate in the consultation process.
