Year 5 Fun at Winchester Science Centre

Year 5 enjoyed a hugely successful trip to the Winchester Science Centre.

With plenty of exhibits to explore, the children had the opportunity to learn about a range of forces and waves, as well as learning about Space. The Planetarium was a highlight for everyone as we were whisked around the Solar System to explore each planet in turn. We also learnt all about the history of the constellations. During our workshop, children learnt about the different wave speeds of light across the spectrum. They also completed ‘light mazes’ by reflecting light off mirrors towards a target!

All of the children represented our school impeccably.
