I am delighted to introduce Moordown St. John's CE VA Primary School to you and as Head teacher I welcome you on behalf of the pupils, staff and governors to our Church School serving the community of Moordown and Parish of St. John's.
I hope you find our website interesting, informative and above all I hope you begin to get a taste of life at Moordown St. Johns Church of England Primary School. One of our key aims is 'partnership' and it is therefore vital that our pupils' parents regard Moordown St. John's as 'their' school. The closer the partnership formed between home and school the more we are able together to further your child's education.
We are very proud of our school and the progress, achievements, well being and contentment of our pupils is paramount to us. We aim for every child to reach their full potential and to leave Moordown St. John's equipped as life long learners eager to enjoy life, love learning, take responsibility as citizens and be ambitious in all they do.
Please do not hesitate to call us if you require any further information and you are most welcome to visit the school by appointment and see us in action.
Yours sincerely,
Mr. Peter Herbert
Headteacher

We had a fabulous evening at AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday 26th May when we celebrated 200 years of history in Bournemouth. All children from our school, St Marks, St Michaels and Muscliffe took part in singing and dancing presentations and at the end we all came together for a photo of The Bigger Picture which was taken by helicopter.

Thank you to all our volunteers and presenters which helped make the ‘What on Earth’ Project a success. The children had lots of different experiences, ranging from whole school shows, hands-on workshops, visits to other schools, visits from nurses and the police and participating in drama workshops and the science lab.
Thank you to the PFA for donating £400 for a presenter and a huge thank you to Mrs Foster for making it all happen! ALL your £5 contributions helped make the ‘What on Earth’ Project a great success. |

Moordown St John's website has recently been suffering from some technical issues due our old hosting server, this situation has forced us to move to a newer server to prevent any future problems occuring.
Our website has now been restored to an earlier database backup, but unfortunately, 'due to the problems' the more recent backup's were not saved correctly so we have had to restore to a January 2010 backup.
This means any accounts registered after January 2010 will not have been restored and would need to be re-registered, we apologise deeply for any inconvenience caused by this and hope you can understand the situation. |

We have just launched our annual Walk on Wednesday (WOW) Programme.
Please come to school on Wednesdays without your car or 'park and stride' by leaving your car halfway - every little helps! |
