• Friday 30 June 2023 Sports Day 2023 KS2 sports day was again at Winton and Glenmoor school where the children competed in their colour teams during the morning. Beanbags were flying, children were running and cones were flipped all to keep the children moving and to earn points for their colour teams. By the end of the morning children were ready for lunch which was enjoyed with friends and families. Thank you to all those who could come and join us. The afternoon saw competitive races for the children. 100m sprint, bouncer hopper race, egg and spoon race and skipping races were enjoyed by all. Well done to those children who took part and showed real perseverance and sportsmanship – a great way to represent your colour team. A huge thank you to Winton and Glenmoor for hosting us and to the amazing Year 9 pupils who assisted us throughout the day.

• Monday 12 June 2023 Year 6 Enrichment Days and Residential Year 6 had an 'Events Week' which combined two enrichment days and the three day residential.
• Wednesday 7 June 2023 Music Concert 2023 On Wednesday the 7 June we saw some of our very talented Moordown St Johns musicians perform at our Summer Concert.
• Tuesday 6 June 2023 Slades Farm Trip - Reception On Tuesday 6 June all of Reception went on a trip to Slades Farm. We all walked there and enjoyed pond dipping, bug hunting, a bird quiz and catching minibeasts in nets.
• Friday 26 May 2023 Global Neighbours Day Global Neighbours Day was a day where Year 6 organized an amazing array of games and stalls to help raise funds. The school was buzzing with excitement as each year group participated in various activities.
• Friday 19 May 2023 Enrichment Dance The children took part in a taster session of ‘Theatre Kidz’ at Moordown St. Johns Primary School. All of the children enjoyed learning new skills in drama and dance. The children were really engaged and excited to be performing with their friends.
• Friday 12 May 2023 Coronation Picnic Celebrations The King’s coronation was a significant event in British history, and we wanted to ensure that all the pupils at MSJ had an opportunity to build a school memory of this important historical moment.
• Monday 1 May 2023 EYFS Playground Refurbishment All the children and staff in reception would like to say a big thank you to the PFA for donating £3000 to the refurbishment of the outdoor learning garden.
• Monday 24 April 2023 Physical Activity Week Last week at MSJ we had a physically active week. Each year group worked to improve their skills and fitness in various activities.
• Friday 31 March 2023 Head Teacher's Office Art Competition In the Autumn Term, Mrs Angiolini and Mr Grinsted set the children of Moordown St John’s a creative challenge. Tired of looking at the dull, white walls in their office, they asked them to produce some art work to brighten up their working environment.
• Friday 31 March 2023 Swimming Gala Children from years 5 and 6 recently took part in the Bournemouth swimming gala at Littledown. The children showed amazing stamina and technique whilst competing in races: front crawl, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke.
