Year 1 have been doing some lovely phonics work this week.
Some groups did guided reading with Mrs Stockley and Mrs Elford.
Some groups were using Nessy on laptops and some groups were finding and reading split diagraphs.
They also created some magnificent hedgehogs out of clay as they have been studying Andy Goldsworthy the famous artist who works with natural materials. We chose to make hedgehogs as we have been thinking about the changes that happen between autumn and winter and the animals that hibernate to escape the cold.
