With the works completed in the pool we have been able to restart swimming. It has been lovely to see all the children again and see how excited they are to get back in the pool!
Reception to Year 3 will all have 15 swimming sessions across the academic year, with each class taking a turn each half term. Years 4 – 6 will also have half a term of lessons on a Friday afternoon with Year 6 going first.
We are so fortunate here at Moordown St. Johns to have this wonderful facility and be able to offer all children in the school a chance to swim each year, this helps them learn a vital life skill. During the lessons we will develop not only their swimming strokes, but also their water safety knowledge to keep them safe.
