This year’s E-Safety week began with Year 6 children visiting every other class in the school to lead an introduction into this years theme – ‘Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better internet starts with you.’ and shared stories, facts and quizzes.
Through the week, we learned about this further through our computing lessons and home learning activity.
During the week Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 took part in SPLATS E-Safety drama workshops and at the end of the day presented a play to parents and children from other year groups. They explored themes of online bullying, what not to share and stranger danger.
” We really enjoyed the e-safety show because it was not just educational but fun, as we love drama. We learnt that you can’t tell who people are on the internet and you have to be very cautious.” Max B, Mia R, Erin L, Year 5
“Don’t give personal details to people you don’t know.” Mia, Year 3
“When someone upsets you on the internet, walk away and do something fun.” Harry Year 3
“It’s impossible to know who sent you a message.” Zara Year 3
